- Art
- An Art is a Glamourous discipline, a grouping of similar uses or
effects of Glamour. See System
Abilities.
- Artisan
- One of the Kithain rôles. Artisans often act in the
service of a Lord. See Underhill
Rôles.
- Changeling
- A Kithain who is born Overhill, or who is placed there in
exchange for a mortal baby. See Between Changelings.
- Courtier
- A Kithain rôle. These Kithain are the advisers of Lords,
and second to them in power. See Underhill Rôles.
- Faerie
- This word, and all its associated words, are not used by those
who know anything of Underhill and the Kithain. It is occasionally
used on this site as a common reference point to introduce new
terms.
- Gate
- A portal which transports those who pass through to one of
several locations. See Underhill

- Glamour
- The stuff of Underhill, and Kithain magic. See Underhill Glamour.
- Guard
- A Kithain rôle. These Kithain serve as guards and warriors
to Lords and Courtiers. See Underhill
Rôles.
- Kenning
- Glamourous sight, which sees Glamourous forms.
- Kith
- The faerie "races", of which there are many. See Underhill Kith.
- Kithain
- The proper term for faeries as a whole, irrespective of Kith. It
is occasionally used as the term for an individual faerie. Kithain
make up the vast majority of Underhill's population. See Underhill Population.
- Lith
- A point of correspondence between Overhill and Underhill. Liths
form the basis for Realms. See Underhill Geography and Between Travel.
- Lord
- A Kithain rôle, held only by Sidhe. They are the rulers of
the Realms. See Underhill
Rôles.
- Mundane
- A term used of those who are not Glamourous beings by those who
are, whether they are Kithain, changeling, or Overhill magician.
- Mundane World
- Another term for Overhill.
- Peasant
- The lowest rôle of Kithain. See Underhill Rôles.
- Realm
- One of the three types of "place" Underhill. A Realm is the
domain of a Lord, and is made up of Liths. See Underhill Geography.
- Realm
- One of the five "areas of effect" of Glamour use. The five
Realms are: Kithain, Mundane, Nature, Prop, and Scene. See System Abilities.
- Rôle
- The ranks of the Kithain, which govern their power and nature.
There are five rôles: Lord, Courtier, Guard, Artisan, and
Peasant/Servant. See Underhill
Rôles.
- Seeming
- The form or physical manifestation that a changeling has. There
are two types of Seeming: mortal and Glamourous. The two can be very
different. See Between
Changelings.
- Servant
- A Kithain rôle, of equal status to Peasants, which is to
say of the lowest rank. Servants serve Lords and occasionally others
of higher status. See Underhill
Rôles.
- Sundering, the
- The cataclysmic separating of the world into two halves,
Overhill and Underhill.
- Troð
- A path which connects two Liths. It may traverse both Underhill
and Overhill. See Underhill

- Unformed
- Those areas Underhill which have no shape or form, where there
is only raw Glamour. See Underhill Geography.
- Wilder
- Those Kithain who do not live in a Realm, and who consequently
fall outside the normal rôles. See Underhill Rôles.
- Wilderland
- The wild places Underhill, ruled by no Lord. See Underhill Geography.
