Korri Abbey
History Index
Introduction
I am writing this history of Korri so that it can be both read
sequentially and used as a reference with a minimum of difficulty.
The information presented here draws on a number of historical sources which are also
provided.
Index
- The earliest settlements
- An account of the earliest settlements at the site of Korri -
Wend village, the manorhouse, Ael Tobran's at the Rock, and the
Peonian Monastary of the Sacred Heart of Rohmae Moor.
- The development of the
bishoprics
- The origins of each of the bishoprics and their fortunes through
to the present day are traced in turn.
- Chronology
- A chronological summary of the history presented in the previous
documents.
In addition to this history, I am developing several "slices of
history" which give detailed information on Korri at one particular
point in time (perhaps spanning as much as a year).
- 1302 : The Creation of the
Diocese
- Looks in particular at the first few months of the Rekela's stay
at Korri
