Chaplain Leda of Serverwen

- Leda of Serverwen, Matakea of the Laranian Church and Chaplain
- Physical description
- She is fairly tall and graceful, with long dark hair going gray.
She still trains occasionally with weapons, but rarely wears armor.
She usually dresses in loose, flowing garments. Her face is plain, but
her eyes can be captivating. They are a sparkling bluish-green and
reflect her ability to lavish attention and concern on anyone with
whom she deals. Getting Leda's attention can be a problem, but when
you get it, you get it all.
- Personal history
- Leda became Chaplain at Menekod four years ago, after the death of
the previous chaplain, in disgraceful circumstances.
- Duties
- Leda's duties are obviously of a religious nature. She is the only
priest who is permanently at Menekod, and theoretically caters to the
spiritual needs of everyone. However, in practice her services are
used mostly by the nobility; the Meken tend not to have much contact
with her except on high festivals.
- Friends and associates
- Leda, as noted, associates mostly with the nobles in the keep,
though the chapel is open to any. Her and the Seneschal Petrys of Skrikau seem to spend a lot of time
together.
- Personality
- Leda is a friendly woman who is easily approachable by anyone,
though her time is limited.
- Recent history
- For the last few weeks Leda has been more than usually
introspective and distracted. She has been spending an unusual amount
of time strolling the ramparts, her eyes fixed on the distance.
- Gossip
- Unsurprisingly, given that Petrys is
engaged to Melana Susyne of Ranastir, there
are rumours of an intimate relationship between him and Leda.
When Leda is out on her frequent walks and rides in the area she is
known to visit Vaegrath Wood fairly regularly. She usually goes alone
and sometimes spends considerable time there.
