Rodyn Bruone, Melana (Companion)

Physical description

Rodyn is a large man by almost any standards. Very muscular, 75 inches tall and weighing in at almost 190 pounds, he imposes a fearsome sight even without his armour on. His Jarin blood is betrayed by his darkened complexion, black hair and brown eyes. His size does slow him down a bit.

He is quite hard of hearing; when he first arrived certain members of the order liked to sneak up on Rodyn during combat practice and tap him in the back of the helm. Once, not long after this started, Rodyn spun quickly on the 'attacker' and smashed his sword into the face plate of the attacker's helm. Although holding back a bit and doing no serious damage, the two broken teeth and seriously dazed attacker seemed to bring an abrupt halt to this practice.

Personal history

Rodyn arrived at Menekod a few years ago, having been resuced from Agrikan knights by a patrol. He joined the Order soon after learning that its main purpose was to hold the border against the Agrikan Order of the Company of the Copper Hook. He says that he hails far from the east, in Kaldor; whether this is true or not is not for Meken to say.

Duties

Rodyn undertakes the duties of a Melana (Companion).

Friends and associates

Rodyn associates with his fellow Melana, and most closely those who hate the Agrikans as much as he does - in other words, the Banners of Honour. He is Companion to Melana Lorik of Tharen.

Personality

Rodyn is characterised by a focused hatred of Agrikans.

Gossip

The occasional speculation still makes the rounds about just what Rodyn was doing wandering alone on the Rethem-Kanday border, those years ago.
