History:

This Ûnir was formed in 1318 by Carad Temel. In many respects it is a continuation of the Skirmishers of the Moon Rising in the West, with Mendala trio and Baelmon trio moving into it from the latter Ûnir.

The banner of the Skirmishers Singing in Praise of the Hooded Worm depicts a long worm, each segment a ring of sickly beige, rising up to face the viewer. Just behind its eyeless head is a "hood", such as cobras have; upon each side is the symbol of a sword. The background of the banner is black.
