Jacoby, enjoying his breakfast in the kitchen, was disturbed by Jellybean, who rushed in and stole his paper. Not so surprising, except that she was in human form. She proceeded, upon his complaint, to return the comics section and scan through the rest. Having seemingly found what she was looking for, she let out a cry of triumph and left the house - depositing the paper on the front doorstep. Coming up the path at that very moment was Morag, the Eshu, who said that she had a tale to tell JB in recompense for breaking her magic ball. However, when JB refused to invite her into a house that was not her own, Morag said she would call at another time, as Eshu rules did not allow her to tell her story under the current circumstances.

Jellybean then went on a Pooka wander, venturing into Kingsley Hotel and paying a visit to Madame Cérese. When she returned to Waldren House for dinner, she had fun playing with icecream and tormenting Jacoby some more, before Morag arrived to tell her story. Retiring to the Hearthroom, Morag looked about for a suitable inspiration, settling finally on the dragonbone that had been gifted to Lady Catherine by Madame Rain on her Sain Day. She then told the tragic tale of the Last Silver Dragon, Sidabras, and the Sidhe Lord Aelil, their conflict the cause of each other's deaths and the completion of the Sundering in the Shattering.

Meanwhile, in Belfast, Richard had met with two werewolves, Helena and Fingal, friends of his mentor Samuel. When not sleeping with the former or drinking with both of them, he arranged to purchase a number of firearms for transportation back to London. Requesting Stig's presence as a useful learning experience, Richard agreed to help Helena and Fingal deal with some people as proof of faith. Stig, already dubious about the whole matter, seemed somewhat disconcerted by the fact that Fingal and Helena simply entered a building at night and started slaughtering the inhabitants - who seemed no more than relatively old club patrons. All was not as it seemed, however, and the corpses started sprouting great tentacles which attacked the group. With Helena and Fingal now in crinos form, much havoc was wreaked, and Richard managed to set the tentacles alight, sacrificing his expensive lighter in the process. Things were not going to well even so, until Stig dropped the top storey of the building on the ground floor - killing the tentacles, but not the two werewolves. The rest of the trip was uneventful, save for Helena seducing Stig.

The final major incident was the arrival of Madame Rain, for the second time in such a short period, at Waldren House. She was angry at the theft of her dragonbone, and considered it clear that someone at Waldren House was responsible. For Jared, who had started hanging about at Kingsley Hotel, had been found dead soon after the theft was noticed, and that pointed the finger to Waldren House. Jacoby was decidedly agitated by this, and more so when Madame Rain seemed to insinuate that Jacoby might well have been the individual responsible. Lady Catherine was unimpressed by the whole situation. When Madame Rain left, Jacoby retired to his room for some time, after talk of vengeance.
