Samhain
During the day, before Samhain truly begins, Lady Catherine finished the four augury paintings she had been working on. After discussing them with Slim, she locked them away in an otherwise empty room. At about this time, dusk, Stig, Richard, Robert and Nirumpam arrived at Waldren House.
Robert seemed rather the worse for wear - drunk and drugged, in fact - and wondering where the rune hammer Stig had earlier found in the garden was. During his search for it, and unseen by the others, Robert fell through a secret panel and disappeared. He returned some time later, when it was dark, by the back door in the kitchen - with the hammer, and on crutches - where he promptly collapsed flat on his face, breaking his nose. Somewhat nonplussed by it all, nonetheless Stig and Richard headed off to a Satyr party, while Nirumpam looked after Robert. Jacoby had already departed (presumably to his rooms) in order to lock himself in and not break anything.
Lady Catherine visited Slim in his basement lair, and when she later returned, she and Nirumpam stayed in the hearthroom, lighting the fire and pulling the couches close. Shortly afterwards they heard a bump and a crash in the night. Nirumpam was in no hurry to investigate, but Lady Catherine insisted. Armed with the sword Truth and the mysterious vase respectively, Lady Catherine and Nirumpam went quietly into the back of the house, where Jacoby's quarters are situated. On the way they found Slim, who had come up himself to investigate the noises, and who hinted that perhaps Jacoby had escaped. Leaving Slim behind, they found the door to Jacoby's room ajar. Lady Catherine entered, and when she touched the figure lying in the bed, it disappeared, and there was no sign of her squire. More worried, she called for Slim, who came and advised that the situation was dangerous, and offered to act as bait to lure Jacoby back into his quarters, while Lady Catherine waited to close and lock the door.
Nirumpam, still preferring to stay in the warm, lit hearthroom, was dismissed by Slim, who proceeded to wander about Jacoby's room, calling for him and touching and breaking his possessions. That is the last that Lady Catherine remembers of that night.
Meanwhile, at the Satyr party, things were typically raucous, with Stig spending some time stuck on the ceiling, being undressed by another flying Sidhe, while Satyrs swung open kegs of beer about. After that, things got out of hand.
Finally, Slim was involved in a great convocation of Sluagh in the sewers, where spirits of the dead were summoned, and a trade was negotiated: a Sidhe for the spirits, in return for three lesser wraiths.
The next morning, Lady Catherine awoke outside the door to the room in which she stored her augury paintings. On checking inside, she found not only her own four works, but another forty-odd, each showing a different interior scene of Waldren House.
Jacoby awoke in his room, the door locked. The fact that smashed objects littered his floor didn't seem to concern him.
Nirumpam woke in the hearthroom, his neck sore from sleeping on the couch.
