Slim emerges from his basement lair and meets with Stig for the first time. He accompanies Stig, Richard, and Jellybean to visit the mundane artist Martin.
Jellybean gets frightened when she takes a detour into the laundry with Terry, a young boy who lives in the apartment building. She encounters a dark form who whispers at her and mysteriously smashes the light. Meanwhile the others are talking with Martin, who dismisses complaints about the police being called at the rave, and mentions his latest schemes.
That evening the group returns to Martin's place. Jellybean meets up with Terry in his room, and meets the Sluagh Mister Jeremy Grimes (who may have been giving Terry nightmares), prompting her to take the frightened Terry with her outside. The others give chase to Mister Grimes, save Slim, who waits in Martin's room. There he is eventually joined by Mister Grimes, and the two arrange for a little tea party in the laundry room.
After Richard tries to calm Terry's mother, upset at the "abduction" of her son, he and Stig join Slim in the laundry, where an entirely opaque conversation is held between Slim and Mister Grimes, and Mister Grimes announces that he will be leaving his residence. Nothing more is said of the matter and the next day he is indeed gone.
